Throw-in attempt intercepted by DOC

Department of Corrections Director Tony Lamorena says, that attempts to smuggle contraband into the prison facility are becoming more desperate.

Guam – Over the weekend another attempt at throwing contraband into the Mangilao prison compound was thwarted by DOC officers.

The contents of the package have not been disclosed.

Lamorena further states that at this time they do not know who the package was intended for, however, the attempt shows the desperation of those wishing to get contraband into the prison.

The contents were turned over to the Guam Police Department for further investigation.
