Tom Ada, Glenn Leon Guerrero, Latest to File for Legislature


Guam – Incumbent Democratic Senator Tom Ada filed for re-election Monday, and Former Port G.M. Glen Leon Guerrero formally filed Friday.

Leon Guerrero served as Port GM under the Camacho Administration. He is running as a republican.

GEC Executive Director Maria Pangelinan says that Ada and Leon Guerrero are the 7th and 8th Senatorial candidates to file with the Guam Election Commission after current Senators Respicio,  Morrison, Yamashita, Duenas, Rodriguez, and former Senator Adolpho Palacios.

Attorney General Lenny Rapadas has also filed for re-election.

Tom Ada Files for 2014 Election

Senator Tom Ada filed his candidacy today for a senatorial seat in the 33rd Guam Legislature. Senator Ada, an incumbent, is currently serving his 7th term. Senator Tom Ada is the current Chairman for the Committee on Public Safety, Infrastructure, and Maritime Transportation.

Senator Ada said that “serving the community as a policy maker in the Legislature has been very gratifying. I feel I am giving back to the community in the best way I can, and would like to continue to do so.”

“For the upcoming election, I look forward to seeing more new candidates with different perspectives enter the senatorial race,” Senator Ada said.
