GVB: Total Visitor Arrivals Up by 23.9% in April of 2012 Over the Same Month Last Year

Guam – The Guam Visitor’s Bureau reports that preliminary visitor arrival numbers for the month of April show an increase of 23.9% over April of last year.

 

In addition, GVB reports that overall arrivals year-to-date show an increase of 8.2% with arrivals from Japan up 5.9%.

Summary:

Total Civilian Air Arrivals are up by 27.9% compared to April last year. Japan is up by 25.4%, Korea by 66.4% and Taiwan by 124.0%. Arrivals from the People’s Republic of China are up by 48.8% and the Russian Federation by 769.7%

Total Calendar Year to Date (January 2012 – April 2012) Arrivals is up 10.9% compared to the same period last year. Total Fiscal Year to Date (October 2011 – April 2012) Arrivals is up by 8.2% compared to the same period last year.
