Guam – The transition report prepared for the Calvo-Tenorio Administration by the Sub-Group on GMH calls for the Governor to take control of the hospital and appoint new management.
The Sub-Group was chaired by Joseph Cameron.
The report states that:
*The current crisis at GMH “is directly affecting patient care and efficient delivery of services.”
* As a result, “physicians, nurses and all other hospital staff” have been placed “in a dangerous and risky position.”
* The “lack of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and equipment needs to be addressed immediately.”
*”We strongly recommend that the Governor assume control of the Hospital.
* “Immediately appoint an interim management team … until such time that qualified appointees are found.”
