Their mission is to bring well-known artists as well as new upcoming talent together in positive setting…Guam Style and OBROS have done it better and they’re hoping to bring that to the island again with Trench Fest 2!

Guam – Trench Fest is back with an entire new line up. For tonight’s concert, get ready for Aloha Friday with bands from Hawaii.

Maoli member  Glenn Awong says, “I’m excited because it’s the first time we’re playing here. We’ve been wanting to come here for so long and it’s finally happening. I’m excited to see the people and get them all hyped up for the Trench Fest and everything.”

It’s Maoli’s first time on island and they’re ready to show Guam what they’re all about. So what can we expect?

Awong explains, “To me, it’s a mixture of reggae and a lot of jazz, blues, r&b. It’s a mixture of a lot of stuff but the core is reggae music but we call is island reggae.”

“Thank you to the fans, the people here especially the listeners. We finally get to come back and share our live performance. It’s rewarding for both sides,” says Maoli member Kana Akiu-Corpuz.

Headlining tonight’s concert is none other than The Green!

The Green lead singer Caleb Keolanui says, “To get out there in front of everybody and have a good time. Hope everybody comes out but we’re going to jamming. Ready to rock!”

For tonight, it’s the bands from Hawaii taking the stage. Then for tomorrow night, the bands from New Zealand, the Sons of Zion and Katchafire.

Sons of Zion singer says Rio Panapa says, “For Sons of Zion, I think it’s unique because it’s our first time here so this is all new to us. In the last 24 hours we’ve been here, it’s a beautiful place. In terms of our music, we’ll play new stuff from our new album. You’re going to expect a lot of energy, get turnt up. We hope Guam will love it. We’re just going to do what they do.”

And no stranger to Guam, closing out Trench Fest 2 is global roots reggae phenomenon Katchafire.

Katchafire lead singer Logan Bell says, “We’re always blessed to come back out. Tonight, we’re going to be playing a little of everything from our four studio albums. We’ve been touring around so it’s good vibes. We come to bring that fire.”

We can’t forget out local bands. Also taking the stage are The John Dank Show, Chris Boomer, The Youthful Elders and the For Peace Band.
