Guam – The Department of Public Works advises that beginning tomorrow, Friday, April 8th, travel along Routes 8 and 16 will be shifted to the new concrete pavement along side Tiyan for motorists heading towards Hagåtña. The switch in traffic pattern will occur after the morning rush.
On Saturday morning, April 9th, opposite traffic heading north along Route 8 towards Route 16 will also be directed to the new concrete pavement.
The Department of Public Works asks the driving public to be on the lookout for construction signs directing this new traffic flow. It is anticipated that minor adjustments may continue through Sunday. Drivers should plan for reduced speeds and are asked to use caution when approaching the construction work sites.
The DPW and the contractor thank the public for their continued patience as they work to improve our roads for the safety and well being of our people.
