Brandon Michael Acosta is charged with allegedly raping and murdering 15-year-old Timicca Nauta.

A date has been set for the trial of the Timicca Nauta murder case.

It has been over a year since 15-year-old Timicca Nauta was raped and murdered in her makeshift Dededo home. Now, the accused, Brandon Michael Acosta will have his day in court.

In court on Monday, Acosta’s attorney, William Pole, said the second psychological evaluation of his client has been completed and filed with the court. That evaluation, however, is not available to the public.

With trial just weeks away, Pole expressed concern over the Attorney General’s Office not filing a witness list which he says won’t be ready until the first week of January.

Pole also expressed concern over evidence from the FBI that the AG may be waiting for which may delay the start of trial.

Superior Court Judge Vernon Perez has set a pre-trial conference for Jan. 6, with trial to follow on Jan. 15.
