TUMON, Guam, 9 Sep. – Ford employees across the Asia Pacific region, including Guam are doing their part to build a better world this week during the 9th annual Ford Global Week of Caring happening between September 6th through the 14th.
As part of the Ford Global Week of Caring (GWC) program, over thirty Triple J employees, their family members and friends participated in a clean up on Saturday September 6th at the Guam Housing and Urban Renewal Authority’s Guam Elderly Project “Guma’ Trankilidat”, Guam’s only project for low-income elderly and persons with disabilities.
The clean up effort consisted of landscaping maintenance, tree and shrub trimming, light power washing and assisting the residents in sprucing up their units and surrounding area.
The centerpiece of Ford’s year-round global volunteering campaign, Global Week of Caring – now in its ninth year – highlights the efforts of employees to make a difference in their communities.
“Triple J’s “Customers First” commitment extends to our community involvement, and it starts with helping those in need, including our Man’amko (the elderly),” said Jay Jones, Senior Vice President of Triple J. “We have for three decades, strived to improve lives and build better communities through our philanthropic contributions, both financially and voluntarily with time and personal involvement.”
In addition to the clean up effort, Triple J Ford Service will soon launch a September promotion with proceeds to go towards the upkeep and maintenance of Guma’ Trankilidat.
