No Warnings or Watches But Chan-Hom Expected to Become Typhoon When it Reaches The Marianas

Guam - Tropical Storm Chan-Hom is still far away from the Marianas but it's also still on a path that should take it to the Marianas by Saturday.

There are no warnings or watches in effect but that could change as Chan-Hom nears the Marianas and if it remains on path to pass through the Marianas. As of 7am this morning the National Weather Service had the storm on a forecast track that would take Chan-Hom North of Guam and just South of Rota Saturday night. This forecast can change as the storm nears the Marianas. Right now NWS forecasters say that Chan-Hom should become a typhoon by the time it reaches the Marianas. As of 7am the storm's maximum sustained winds were at 50mph and it was moving west at 12 mph.
