The National Weather Service has issued a Tropical Storm Watch for Guam
Guam - A tropical storm watch has been issued for Guam which means that tropical storm conditions are possible for Guam within the next 48 hours.
Guam is also in Condition of Readiness 3. Both the Navy and GovGuam have gone into COR3 as Guam could potentially get some tropical storm winds on Saturday evening. In-Fa became a typhoon last night but within hours it was downgraded back to a tropical storm. It is expected to re-intesify back to a typhoon gradually and will likely be a typhoon during it's closest point of approach to Guam on Saturday afternoon or Saturday evening. The storm is currently forecast to pass South of Guam. If it follows it's current track it will not hit Guam however if it deviates from this track and moves a little further North and closer to Guam the island could feel some of it's weaker tropical storm strength winds which are in the outer edges of the storm.
