Earlier today, two dogs were found severely beaten with a hammer and were hidden in piles of trash.
According to a press release, GAIN employees responded to reports of a crying dog in Yigo. Police officers also arrived at the scene for a family violence incident.
Once the site was secured, one of the dogs was found alive and was rushed to the Animal Medical Clinic, where physicians determined that it had to be euthanized.
Officers apprehended an individual, but it is unclear whether an arrest has been made.
The beating of these two dogs happens a week after the discovery of a decapitated dog in Merizo.
