2 Suspects Now In Custody Following Thursday’s Bomb Threat At Andersen Air Force Base

Guam – The Andersen Airforce Base public affairs office has confirmed that two individuals were taken into custody in connection with yesterday’s bomb threat.

The threat yesterday resulted in a base lock down that lasted from 1pm to 3pm yesterday afternoon.

According to Tech Sgt. Mike Andriacco of Andersen Public Affairs, one of the individuals was an active duty military member while the other was retired.

Their names have not been released.

However Andriacco confirms that no bomb was recorvered. He adds that it appears that it was a false bomb threat.He also adds that there was no threat to the off-base community otherwise local authorities would’ve been involved. 

Because it happened on base Federal authorities are investigating the matter.
