Tropical Storm Chan-Hom Expected to Become Typhoon When it Reaches Marianas 

Guam – A typhooon watch has been issued for Guam Rota Tinian and Saipan. Although Chan-Hom is still a tropical storm this means that it is expected to become a typhoon by the time it reaches the Marianas.

This means that typhoon conditions or winds of 74 miles per hour or more are expected within 48 hours. Chan-Hom’s maximum sustained winds are currently at 50 miles per hour.
