Underground Cable Short Causes 6 Hour Power Outage in Tumon Thursday Night

Guam – A short in an underground cable caused a power outage for part of Tumon Thursday night.

The power went out about 7am in the area around the Pacific Island’s Club.

GPA Spokesman Art Perez says the cause was traced to an underground cable or power line that “shortened.”

The outage lasted for about 6 and a half hours. Repairs were made and full power was restored to the area by 1:30 am Friday.
