Guam – United today cancelled Flight 2056 from Guam to Honolulu as maintenance crews were seen working on the co-pilot’s cockpit window which United in a statement yesterday said was experiencing a “seal issue.”

Yesterday [Tuesday], the same Boeing 777-200,  was delayed on the ground while the window “seal issue” was addressed [see United’s Tuesday statement about the Tuesday delay below].

But someone at United made the decision to take off.  Then, two hours out of Guam enroute to Honolulu, the flight was forced to turn because of what the pilot said was too much noise in the cockpit from the window “seal issue”.

This morning [Wednesday] the Honolulu flight was again initially delayed,  just as it was yesterday.

Passengers waiting inside the terminal took snap shots of the maintenance crew once again working on the window. This time, United made the decision not to take off. The flight was cancelled “ following a mechanical issue” said United in today’s statement [see the Wednesday statement on the cancellation below].
