Guam – The University of Guam has experienced a delay in the drawdown of federal financial aid funds due to technical glitches that occurred when UOG upgraded to a new financial aid data system.
UOG will know late tonight whether or not the student financial aid data transmission glitches were resolved. If successful, UOG expects to drawn down the federal student financial aid funds this week.
Once federal student financial aid monies are received by the institution, the UOG Business Office will prepare and distribute checks within three business days. Updated information will be posted on the UOG website at www.uog.edu.
This situation has caused a delay of payment to students by approximately one week.
The University expects smooth processing of awards for the spring 2011 semester. The University apologizes for inconveniences to students caused by the delay. Students may email finaid@uguam.uog.edu for more information.
