Guam – On Sunday, December 16, the University of Guam will recognize 224 prospective graduates who will receive degrees during the fall 2012 commencement ceremonies held at 2:00 p.m. at the UOG Field House. Of the graduates, 46 will receive masters degrees and 178 will receive undergraduate degrees.
This commencement will feature keynote speaker Robert “Bob” H. Jones, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Triple J Enterprises, Inc., who will receive an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters.
Bob Jones started Triple J Enterprises, Inc. in 1984. The company has since grown from a small car dealership to one of the most successful corporations in Micronesia with offices and companies located in Guam, Saipan, the Marshall Islands, Palau, and San Francisco.
A strong member of the community, Triple J is a loyal supporter of organizations like the Boy Scouts of America, American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, Alee Shelter, Sanctuary, Salvation Army, KGTF, Crime Stoppers, Ayuda Foundation, Island Girl Power, and University of Guam.
“Bob Jones has been a major contributor to the economic, social, an educational landscape of Guam, the Marianas, and Micronesia for over 40 years,” said University of Guam President Robert A. Underwood. “He is a staunch supporter of this University, and we are honored to have him speak to our graduates.”
Fall 2012 Commencement Ceremonies will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the UOG Field House.
