Guam – 224 graduates of the University of Guam received their diplomas at Sunday’s Fall Graduation.
Of the graduates, 46 received Masters Degrees and 178 received undergraduate degrees.
President Robert Underwood told the audience he has no fears for the future of Guam, as long as there is a University of Guam.
The Keynote speaker was Robert “Bob” H. Jones, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Triple J Enterprises. He also received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters.
Bob Jones started Triple J Enterprises, Inc. in 1984. The company has since grown from a small car dealership to one of the most successful corporations in Micronesia with offices and companies located in Guam, Saipan, the Marshall Islands, Palau, and San Francisco.
“Bob Jones has been a major contributor to the economic, social, an educational landscape of Guam, the Marianas, and Micronesia for over 40 years,” said University of Guam President Robert A. Underwood. “He is a staunch supporter of this University, and we are honored to have him speak to our graduates.”
