UOG Offering Financial Assistance To Students In Need

University of Guam students who demonstrate financial need can get up to $3,000 through the UOG Cares Emergency Grant.

This is the second and final round of the grant program, which is designed for students who demonstrate exceptional financial need.

Anita Borja Enriquez, senior vice president, and provost at the university, comments, “We want every student, regardless of financial ability, to cross that stage at commencement, and this grant provides a significant stepping stone for hundreds more students to make that a reality.”

The UOG Cares Emergency Grant is an additional opportunity for students to receive pandemic-related financial assistance on top of the third round of direct aid to be distributed to all eligible UOG students this semester in amounts up to $700 per student.

To qualify, students must have been full- or part-time students at UOG between March 13, 2020, to now and demonstrate need and financial hardship.

Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25, 2022, or until all funds have been awarded.
