UOG: Radiation from Damaged Fukushima Reactors Should Not Affect Guam

Guam – Any radiation leaking from damaged reactors in Japan should not affect Guam according to Dr. Mark Lander, a meterologist at UOG Water and Environmental Research Institute of the Western Pacific.

In a release Sunday, Lander says, for now, any radiation released from Japan (see image below) will go east on a 10-day trip towards Alaska.

The air arriving on Guam today (13 March) is coming to us on a 10-day trek from near Hawaii (see image below).

The trajectories are made from a NOAA tool on the WWW called HYSPLIT that is free for all to use.
