UOG ROTC Change of Command; Lizama To Lead Triton Warrior Battalion

Guam – Cadet LTC Daniel Lizama received command of the UOG Army ROTC Triton Warrior Battalion this morning during the Change of Command Ceremony at the UOG Field House. The ceremony marked the passing of colors and cadet leadership from Cadet LTC Lee San Nicolas to Cadet LTC Lizama. Professor of Military Science LTC John Howerton expressed gratitude to both Lizama and San Nicolas for their leadership.

Lizama is a criminal justice major at the University of Guam with a 3.4 grade point average and a member of the Guam Army National Guard. He brings both training and combat experience to the position as he served as a mechanic with the engineers deployed to Afghanistan as an enlisted soldier before he made the decision to obtain his degree at UOG and enroll in the university’s ROTC program. He is the son of MSG Joaquin Lizama (US Army Retired) and Elaine J.N. Lizama.

There are over 100 students enrolled in the UOG Army ROTC Triton Warrior Battalion.
