Thursday July 10, 2014 – HUBZone Application Process
The islands of Guam and the CNMI are designated HUBZones. However, firms must apply for certification with the US Small Business Administration. PTAC will take you through the application process and help you address follow up requirements from SBA.
Thursday July 17, 2014 – 8(a) Application Process
The SBA’s 8(a) BD Program, named for a section of the Small Business Act, is a business development program created to help small, disadvantaged businesses compete in the American economy and access the federal procurement market. The Guam PTAC will help you navigate the forms and requirements of the 8a program.
Thursday July 24, 2014 – Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB) – Room 131
Contracting officers are allowed to set aside contracts for certified WOSBs and Economically Disadvantaged WOSBs to help federal agencies achieve the existing statutory goal of five percent of contracting dollars being awarded to women owned small businesses. The Guam PTAC will explain the WOSB program and guide you through the registration process.
Thursday July 31, 2014 – VA Veterans First Contracting Program
To do business with the Veterans Administration, you must be verified by the VA as a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) or a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The Guam PTAC will guide you through the process of becoming Veteran Verified.
