A building at the University of Guam was evacuated, not because of a bomb threat, but due to a gas-like odor.
Guam – At around 9 am, students and employees were advised not to enter the UOG Science Building because of this gas-like odor until the all clear was given by UOG administration.
At about 1 pm, law enforcement officials gave the all clear and normal operations resumed.
According to UOG Spokesman Jonas Macapinlac, the cause of the odor was an unsecured gas valve in one of the chemistry labs. No one was injured.
