UOG: Technical Issues Hampering Financial Aid Drawdowns Resolved

224

Guam – The University of Guam reports that the technical issues hindering the University of Guam’s drawdown of the federal student financial aid monies have been successfully resolved.

The UOG Financial Aid Office is now processing the awards in batches and the Business Office will begin processing the checks based on batches
received. UOG expects students to begin receiving their checks early next week and throughout the month of October.  Awards are processed in the
order in which the Financial Aid Office received a student’s completed federal student aid file.

A student aid file is only complete if all the following documents, applicable to a student’s award, have been received:

* A Student Aid Award form (SAR);
* A FAO Student Information Sheet;

Additionally, students who are receiving direct loans must have completed the online entrance counseling form and a signed the master promissory
note.

Please note that students whose files have been selected for verification by US Department of Education will experience an additional delay in their
award.

The Financial Aid Office, the Bursar’s Office and the Business Office will work through the weekend to ensure that the majority of the awards are
processed.

Those students who have provided their bank account numbers to UOG will receive an automatic deposit in their accounts. Students who wish to sign
up for automatic deposit of Pell Grant monies and/or loan monies can obtain the form from the Enrollment Management and Student Services Office
in the Student Center or the Bursar’s Office in the Administration Building.

The form can also be downloaded from the UOG Financial Aid Office website at www.uog.edu/financialaid
