The University of Guam’s (UOG) College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CNAS) is hosting an outreach event April 2. The event is called Green Night and will feature food trucks, local produce, local crafts, a farming petting zoo, and cycad tours, to name a few.

“We’ve done outreach throughout the pandemic, as well as this year, in the field of agriculture and natural resources, community development, community nutrition education, family science, and 4H youth development,” said Luke Fernandez, UOG CNAS Extension Associate I. “Those primary groups will be at Green Night, along with some of the partner organizations that we collaborate with.”

Green Night will run from 4 pm to 8 pm at the UOG Agriculture and Life Sciences parking lot.

According to Fernandez, Green Night celebrates 50 years of the University’s Land Grant.

“This event facilitates research-based information, the sciences, by bringing what we’ve learned through research and putting it out as outreach,” said Fernandez.

Green Night is funded by several federal grant programs and through UOG CNAS.
