U.S. EPA Region 9 Taps Michael Mann as Guam Program Manager

Guam – Guam Environmental Protection Agency (Guam EPA) Administrator Ivan Quinata has announced the appointment of Michael Mann as the Guam Program Manager from U.S. EPA Region 9’s Pacific Islands Office. Administrator Quinata thanked Enrique Manzanilla, Director of Region 9’s Communities and Ecosystems Division, for the good news and support the Pacific Islands Office gives to Guam EPA.
In an email response to Director Manzanilla, Administrator Quinata noted, “It is just such strong support and collaborative effort that provides Guam EPA with the management, regulatory, and compliance tools to be successful in protecting Guam’s unique and fragile environment and finite drinking water aquifer and improve the quality of life for the people of Guam.”

Mann replaces Michael Wolfram, who has been appointed to serve as Program Manager for the Territory of American Samoa. Administrator Quinata also said, “I, too, want to thank Michael Wolfram for his services and strong support for the staff and management of Guam EPA as the Guam Program Manager.”

Mann is no stranger to Guam, having worked at Guam EPA on assignment from U.S. EPA from August 2000 to January 2001, where he built the Agency’s website. From October 2002 to September 2006, under an Intergovernmental Personnel Agreement with U.S. EPA, he helped Guam EPA build the Information Services Branch, served as Guam EPA’s Public Information Officer and Network Administrator, and chaired the Guam Environmental Education Committee.  Just this past year, Mann assisted Guam EPA with his expertise as a member of the Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD) Task Force.
