VIDEO: USDA Reinstates Dr. Joseph’s Veterinarian Accreditation

Guam – The U.S. Department of Agriculture has reinstated Wise Owl veterinarian Dr. Joel Joseph’s accreditation status as a licensed veterinarian.

National Veterinary Accreditation Program Coordinator Debra Freelove sent Dr. Joseph an email saying quote “based on information received through the Guam Attorney General’s office regarding your license status, your accreditation status has been returned to active.”

Joseph’s accreditation was removed back in April after the Guam Board of Allied Health Examiners [GBAHE] found Joseph guilty of numerous charges that accumulated over a 6 year period.

The Board voted to suspend Joseph’s license for five years, among other sanctions. But Superior Court Judge Michael Bordallo issued a temporary stay on the Board’s decision, effectively halting the decision for now.

Department of Agriculture Territorial Veterinarian Dr. Tom Poole acknowledged to PNC News that Dr. Joseph’s accreditation status has been returned to active. He says the Department will resume accepting health certificates from Joseph’s office,  unless or until the USDA changes his status back to inactive.
