USS Reagan Makes a Port Call on Guam


Guam – More than 4-thousand sailors and marines from the USS Ronald Reagan are making a 2 day port call to Guam.

The nuclear powered aircraft carrier pulled into Naval Station Guam Sunday at noon after leaving Hong Kong 5 days ago.

The USS Reagan is more than 1-thousand feet long with a flight deck the size of more than 4 football fields. It carries about 60 aircraft and can travel at 30 knots.

The ship cost $4.5 billion to build and it take $1-million a day to operate it.

The Reagan leaves Guam Tuesday evening.
