The number of positive cases amongst the crew of the USS Roosevelt dropped from 955 Monday, to 940 yesterday after 15 sailors successfully tested negative twice for COVID-19.
The Navy this week announced that sailors who have tested positive for COVID-19, won’t be counted as recovered until they test negative twice.
Under that new standard, just 29 crew members who once had the disease are now considered to have recovered.
One Roosevelt sailor remains at Naval Hospital Guam being treated for COVID-19 symptoms. The sailor is not in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
