The Guam Department of Education (GDOE) and Public Health’s Immunization program held one last COVID-19 vaccination clinic for graduating seniors.
The “Vaccinate Before You Graduate” clinic was held Monday, May 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the John F. Kennedy gymnasium.
Although geared towards seniors who will soon be receiving their diplomas, GDOE encouraged all eligible students and people in the community to avail themselves of the vaccination clinic.
The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine was administered to interested individuals who are 16 years of age or older. Individuals who are under the age of 18 were required to be accompanied by one parent or, by a legal guardian while receiving the vaccine.
Interested and eligible students, their parents/guardians, and the community were welcome to walk in on the day of the clinic.
All participants completed a consent form before they can receive the vaccine. Parents/guardians and participants had to provide a valid Guam identification. Students were allowed to use their school identification cards.
