Numerous organizations and community groups have organized various donation drives during the holiday season to support those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The University of Guam Social Justice Class is hosting a donation drive and is seeking help from the community.
The drive was organized to support families in the Gill-Baza and Zero Down subdivisions in Yigo.
Donations accepted are personal protective equipment, toiletries, personal hygiene products, and household cleaning supplies.
Item drop-off dates are on Saturday, November 21st and Saturday, November 28th from 8 am to 12 pm and can be dropped off at the Yigo mayor’s office.
Donors are encouraged to call the mayor’s office before dropping off donations at 653-5248.
Meanwhile, the Academy of our Lady of Guam will conduct a Thanksgiving Drive-by Drop-off donation drive of non-perishable food items and personal hygiene products benefitting Catholic Social Services and Kusinan Kamalen Karidat.
Donations can be dropped off this weekend on Saturday, November 21st, from 8:30 am to 3 pm and Sunday, November 22nd, 12 to 5 pm at the Academy’s gym.

Furthermore, Santa Barbara Catholic School will be having their annual Thanksgiving food drive for Kusinan Santa Barbara.
Donations of non-perishable food items may be dropped off November 23rd through November 25th from 8 am to 4 pm at the South Gate tent area.
Harvest House will also be hosting a Festive Fun for Foster Families.
The organization will be providing Christmas gifts to all of Guam’s foster children.
They are seeking community help in going to the Harvest House to pick up a Christmas ornament decorated with a child’s age and gender, fill a stocking or gift bag with appropriate gifts for that child, and deliver stocking and ornament back to Harvest House.
The organization is also accepting donations of new toys and gifts for all ages. Donations are to be dropped off by December 16th. For more details, contact Harvest House at 489-4737.
