Guam- The Victims Advocates Reaching Out (VARO) non profit organization is asking for the community’s help for its upcoming multi-color bed race fund raiser.
Acting Executive Director Corey Harris spoke to the Rotary Club of Northern Guam Monday afternoon on the programs they provide. He explains that the volunteer corporation helps victims of domestic violence, sexual assault and violent crimes try to live productive lives. He also says it’s important business officials know about VARO’s services because it may help some of their employees.
“It’s important because they’re our business leaders and they should know what’s going on in our community…and some of my clients may be their employees” said Harris. “If they’re aware of the problems that’s going on, the challenges that they’ll face, they’ll more readily recognize the issues, recognize the problems and know what their employees can get help from.”
