Guam – Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo swore-in the new officers of the Veterans Advisory Council at her District Office in Hagåtña.

The Council elected Former District Court Judge, John S. Unpingco as President, Mr. Art Mesa as Vice President, and Mr. Raymond Babauta as Secretary.
The Veterans Advisory Council was created in 1963 in order to provide policies and arrangements for Guam’s veteran community. The Council has held monthly meetings at Congresswoman Bordallo’s District Office since 2003.
“I congratulate the Former District Court Judge, John S. Unpingco, Mr. Art Mesa, and Mr. Raymond Babauta on their election as officers of the Veterans Affairs Council,” Congresswoman Bordallo said today. “The Veterans Advisory Council is an effective advocate for veterans on our island and I have always greatly supported their efforts. I wish the best to the newly-elected officers and I will continue to work closely with the Council on issues important to veterans on Guam.”
