Veterans Affairs Secretary Shinseki Cuts the Ribbon on New Clinic

Guam – U.S. Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki helped cut the ribbon this morning on Guam’s new  Community Based Veterans Outpatient Clinic in Hagatna Heights.

The facility had a soft opening back in November, but its official dedication was today [Tuesday].

More than 100 people attended the red ribbon cutting for the $5.4 million dollar facility which is double the size of the original clinic.

Shinseki is on Guam at the invitation of Congresswoman Madeleine Bordallo and he has been speaking to island veterans much of the day on issues important to them, such as the processing  of  benefit claims and off island health care concerns.

Secretary Shinseki will also be meeting with Governor Eddie Calvo this evening. And he will be a Guest on K-57’s Vet Talk tonight at 6:30 pm.
