A veterans town hall meeting is scheduled for Friday, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Government House with the veterans affairs congressional delegation (CODEL) visiting Guam.
Congressman Michael San Nicolas, who is hosting the CODEL and organizing the town hall meeting, said all veterans and members of the public interested in veterans issues are invited to attend.
The CODEL will be led by the chairman of the veterans affairs committee, Rep. Mark Takano. The emcee and moderator of the town hall will be decorated veteran and long-time law enforcement officer John Ananich II.
Ananich was a police officer with the Guam police department from 2005-2017 and valedictorian of his police cycle. He was also a member of the Army National Guard (Guam) from 2006-2014, earning the rank of sergeant and recognized as soldier of the cycle/honor grad.
Doors open at 5 p.m. and seating and participation is based on a first-come, first-served basis.
