Vice President Kamala Harris briefly stopped over on Guam before proceeding to Hawaii but did not meet with any Guam officials.
The latest White House pool report confirmed that Harris made a stopover on Guam before heading on to Oahu, Hawaii.
Harris was on her way back from a visit to Vietnam and Singapore where she worked to promote U.S. relations with the two countries.
According to PNC’s Adelup sources, Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero did not have a chance to meet with Vice President Harris.
However, Adelup stated that “the White House has expressed a commitment to a future opportunity.”
The last time a US president was on Guam was when then-President Trump stopped over for refueling in at Andersen Air Force Base where he famously had a photo taken with then-Republican governor Eddie Calvo.
