Vice Speaker Inquires on Availability of Old Navy Vehicles

Guam- Having read news reports that the Navy’s fire department recently received three new fire trucks, Vice Speaker B.J. Cruz wrote today to Rear Admiral Paul J. Bushong, Commander of the Joint Region, Marianas, requesting information on the availability of the old vehicles for use by the Guam Fire Department.

In October of this year, the Navy’s Fire and Emergency Services received two new fire trucks and one new wildland brush truck as replacements for its older vehicles.  The Guam Fire Department has had a chronic shortage of emergency vehicles and Cruz hopes that the Navy will consider transferring its old vehicles to GFD.
