Stabbing at Yigo Market; Victim in Stable; Pedrus Dakanno in Custody

Guam – Guam Police have arrested 33 year old Pedrus Dakanno of Yigo in connection with the stabbing of a 31 year old man “known to him”.

Guam Police spokesman Officer A.J. Balajadia reports that the victim was stabbed in the upper right chest. GMH Nursing Supervisor Bill Toves reports that the victim was in stable condition as of Sunday evening.

The incident occured Saturday morning around 11am at the  “One Plus One Mart” in Yigo.

Dakanno has been booked and confined for “Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Family Violence, Public Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct, Terrorizing and Use of a Deadly Weapon in the Commission of a Felony.”

Officer Balajadia reports that alcohol was a factor in the stabbing.

YIGO – 11:10am, Saturday, April 19, 2014, officers from the Dededo Precinct responded to a reported stabbing at the “One Plus One Mart” Yigo.  The suspect reportedly stabbed a 31-year-old, pohnpean, male known to him in the upper right chest area.

Arrested:  Pedrus Dakanno, m/pohn/33/Yigo, for Attempted Murder, Aggravated Assault, Family Violence, Public Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct, Terrorizing and Use of a Deadly Weapon in the Commission of a Felony.

Alcohol was involved in this incident.  Mr. Dakanno was booked and confined.
