Guam – The checks are in the mail! About 7.1 million dollars in tax refunds and health insurance rebates has been mailed out Tuesday.
The Governor’s Office also issued a media release stating this round of tax refund money came from additional Section 30 revenue.

The Department of Administration is mailing $7.1 million in rebates and refunds today. The amount covers:
$5 million in tax refunds from additional Section 30 revenue (covers filings on April 17 and part of 18)
$2.1 million in health insurance rebates
“This money doesn’t belong to the government – it’s the people’s,” Governor Eddie Baza Calvo said. “I thank Ms. Benita Manglona, the hardworking staff at DOA, the Department of Revenue and Taxation, and the Treasurer of Guam who made sure these checks got into the hands of their rightful owners as quickly as possible.”
