Guam – Guam procurement was the topic at Thursday’s Rotary Club of Guam meeting.
As the guest speaker, procurement expert Atty. John Thomas Brown talked about partnership in government contracting.
Addressing a group made up of those mostly in the private sector, Brown emphasized the importance of understanding how the procurement process works for both the government and private sectors.
“Government contracting is only half the government sector. It’s the private sector as well. And the private sector needs to know what their expectations should be about procurement and they need to know how to involve themselves constructively in the procurement process in order for us to have an effective procurement system,” says Brown.
Brown, who has extensive knowledge on Guam procurement, also invited Rotarians to visit his blog that covers the similarities of how procurement works all around the world.
