Guam – Calvo Enterprises Inc. today presented a $3 Million check to the University of Guam Endowment Foundation for the Capital Campaign.
UOG President Dr Robert Underwood said the donation is the single largest gift received by the University to date.
“Education is the best investment we could provide for our future leaders, and higher education at that,” Calvo Enterprises President and former Governor Paul Calvo said prior to presenting the gift
The donation was given in celebration of the 75th anniversary of Calvo’s Insurance Underwriters, Inc, the parent company Calvo Enterprises.
Dr Underwood explained that money given to the campaign will be used to invest in a 21st century campus for the university. The University’s goal is to raise $30 Million by 2017. According to UOG Marketing Director Jonas Macinpinlac, almost $7 Million dollars has been raised for the campaign so far.
