VIDEO: Chief Bordallo Emphasizes Need to Reduce Domestic Violence in Wake of Recent Stabbings

Guam – In his weekly briefing to the media, GPD Chief Fred Bordallo today spoke about the importance of programs to reduce domestic abuse and other forms of violence, after GPD responded to five stabbings in the last two weeks.

“It is a big concern in our community and you know it isn’t just the police alone it has to be a multi disciplinarian approach,” Bordallo said.

“Thats why the outreach you know with all these organizations that are there for people who have problems in the home front you… can easily call a crisis counselor from one of these organizations.”

Bordallo also mentioned that Guam Highway Patrol continues to investigate some of the recent traffic fatalities. He said it takes time to examine all of the factors but he’s sure the cases will close.
