Saipan – Gov. Eloy Inos assured government workers that there will no work hour cuts for fiscal year 2014.
The Saipan Tribune reports that the Inos administration is now finalizing the revenue and spending report on the first quarter of FY 2014 covering October to December 2013.
At the same time, Inos urged the Commonwealth to continue belt-tightening and ways to generate additional revenues to come up with at least $12 million more to meet new or expanded government obligations.
This is on top of the $123.4 million already previously budgeted for FY 2014.
Government employees lately have expressed concern that they would again be subjected to up to 16-hour work cut per pay period.
