Crime of the week – “The May 29 Armed Robbery of a Guam Bakery Van”
On Thursday the 29th of May at 1:30 in the afternoon, officers from the Hagatna Precinct command responded to Aguon’s Store located in Barrigada Village, relative to a robbery that occurred on Chalan Ungaguan Way, Barrigada.
According to the police report:
A Guam Bakery delivery van was traveling west on Chalan Ungagaun Way Barrigada, towards Aguon’s Store for delivery, when he noted two male individuals emerged from the bus stop, where one of the male jumped out in front of the delivery van and began yelling for help as the unknown male made his way towards the driver’s side door.
The driver immediately stopped and rolled down the drivers side window to inquire what was going, when he noted the second male running towards the driver’s side door and was armed with a knife. The victim then noted the other male was also armed with a screwdriver, in which both males opened the door and pulled the driver out and demanded money from him.
Fearful for his safety, the delivery person immediately complied with the demands and handed the two male suspects the money from his delivery and his personnel cell phone, in which both suspects then fled on foot.
The Guam Bakery Delivery person was able to provide a description of the two suspects to be:
* Suspect #1: Male/possibly Chuukese about 18-20 years old slim build/5’4″-5’6″ dark complexion last seen wearing white shirt, blue jeans and was armed with a screw driver
* Suspect #2: Male/possibly Chuukese about 25-30 years old slim build/ 5’8″-5’10” dark complexion last seen wearing dark colored shirt, wearing a red bandanna on his head // As a result of the robbery the victim complained of pains to his chest and was treated by GFD medics at the scene.
The Guam Police Department and the Guam Crime Stoppers needs the community’s help relative to this robbery complaint.
