Crime of the Week: “The September 29th Hit and Run in Tamuning”
On Sunday, the 29th of September, at 1:51 a.m., Officers from the Guam Police Department’s Highway Patrol Division entertained a ” Fatal Auto- Pedestrian Hit and Run Crash” which occurred on Route 14 Chalan San Antonio, Tamuning, by the Elite Bakery.
According to the police report:
The pedestrian, who was later identified as Riddle A. ESAU was crossing Route 14 Chalan San Antonio from the Toy’s Tavern towards the Elite Bakery.
According to the witnesses at the scene, as Riddle ESAU was on the middle northbound lane attempting to cross onto the outer lane of Route 14 Chalan San Antonio, Tamuning, by Elite Bakery.
Riddle ESAU was subsequently struck by a RED SUV type vehicle. Witness at the scene further elaborated that the red SUV did not stop to make a check on Riddle ESAU, but continued motoring northbound towards Route 14 Tumon.
Mr. Riddle ESAU was later transported to the Guam Memorial Hospital, where Riddle ESAU was later pronounced dead by GMH nursing staff.
According to witnesses, the subject red SUV type vehicle might have sustained frontal damages to the bumper area based on the collision.
The Guam Police Department’s Highway Patrol Division and the Guam Crime Stoppers needs the publics help relative to this Fatal Auto Pedestrian Crash that occurred on Route 14 Chalan San Antonio Road, Tamuning.
