Guam – Docomo Pacific announced this morning the free distribution of 25,000 glow sticks for this coming Halloween.
The glow sticks are part of the 7th Annual “Be Seen, Be Safe” initiative, which was created to make children more visible during trick-or-treating on the roads and to help minimize avoidable accidents.
“Docomo Pacific is concerned about the safety of children and accompanying members during Halloween, ” says Thomas Higa, Chief Marketing Officer for Docomo Pacifc. “We truly appreciate our sponsors’ support of this safety program.”
Sponsors this year include the Department of Public Works Office of Highway Safety, Mobil Oil Guam and Hawaiian Rock.
President and Country Manager of Mobil Oil Guam Jaime Ortega is very proud of being a sponsor. “Safety is a key priority or core value of Mobil Oil Guam so being able to participate in something that is going to improve the safety of our kids during Halloween is something we are proud of,” Ortega said.
GPD Chief Fred Bordallo is also happy to support Docomo Pacific’s “Be Seen, Be safe” program. Bordallo said, “We are kindly asking the public’s cooperation to drive defensively, responsibly and to also strictly follow the rules of the road to ensure the safety of children who will be trick or treating during Halloween.”
