VIDEO: Egg Hunt Heralds Easter’s Approach

Guam – It’s the start of Easter egg hunt season with one of the biggest on island held this morning.

Hundreds of residents and tourists gathered at the War in the Pacific National Park in Asan as McDonald’s and the Department of Parks and Recreation hosted an easter celebration with over 9000 eggs hidden for the kids, Mr. Easter Bunny himself and an easter basket contest.

McDonald’s Marketing Cosultant Divina Evaristo said, “McDonald’s is so appreciative with our customers being so loyal and keeping us successful. We just want to be out in the community and give back. We host this free of charge. We do have partnerships that help us by donating services and goods. We want to have this egg hunt to get all the kids together. We have activities and bonding time. Out here they have fresh air and they have lots of room to run!”

Prior to the Easter egg hunt, judges had to choose among many creative basket designs for the Most Funny, Most Beautiful and Most Earth Friendly as winners for the easter basket contest.

When the clock hit noon, it’s Easter egg hunting time! Children from ages 1 to 10 hit the field to pick up those Easter eggs. Plastic eggs contain surprise treats and special prices were awarded for the golden eggs.
