Guam – 36-year old Emmanuel Cabrera Cepeda has been charged with Aggravated Murder with a special allegation of use of a deadly weapon after his estranged wife was found shot to death inside her Astumbo home Sunday night.

The victim has been identified as 35-year old Emma Catapang Cepeda.

According to GPD Public Information Officer A.J. In Superior Court this afternoon [Monday] Emmanuel was formally charged with Aggravated Murder and a Special allegation of Possession and Use of a Deadly Weapon in the Commission of a Felony.  According to the Magistrate’s complaint, Cepeda told Police that “he had gone to the residence with the intent to shoot the victim,” and he said that he “killed the victim.”    The complaint also alleges that Emmanuel Cepeda told officers that he “intended to kill himself after he killed the victim but the firearm malfunctioned.”
