Guam – The Guam Election Commission hopes the Governor will approve funding for new tabulators soon.
Senator Rory Respicio’s Bill #334 was passed during Monday’s session. It provides just over $200-thousand dollars to buy new tabulators for the GEC. Executive Director Maria Pangelinan says they’re ready to place the order, as soon as the Governor signs off on the bill.
Pangelinan says they hope to have the money in the bank and place the order for the new tabulators by next week. She remains confident that the new machines will be on island in time for the August primary.
