After the luncheon, First Lady Christine Calvo joined the volunteers in their tradition of Christmas caroling and giving gifts to patients. “This is great. The Hospital volunteers they do so much for Guam and our hospital. Just to be here with them to celebrate the New Year and Three Kings and to carol to the patients and the families over here…I don’t want to be anywhere else than here doing this,” said Calvo.
Daughter of an elderly GMH patient, Michelle Aguero spend the holidays at the GMH SNU watching her mother. Aguero said after spending months at the SNU, she really appreciated the luncheon and gift fiving the volunteers prepared for them.
“I think it’s a very nice thing for them to come out and do this for us especially being here for 3 or 4 months. We spent the holidays here and our families couldn’t all come so it’s a very nice thing and I hope they continue to do it and God Bless them for it,” said Aguero.
